I’ll never forget, on the first night of every family camping trip, the first light of those beloved colorful string lights we had helped mother to hang from tree to tree earlier that afternoon.

It was always the same feeling when their soft but jolly light fell on the ground around us… it was time to be having fun!.

Generally, solar systems save money in both installation and operation. They don’t need expensive wiring for installation and there is no need to connect to your local electric utility. The sun charges them every evening, and will automatically turn them on each evening.

These days people don’t need special occasions to hang these little wonders but have made them permanent lighting resources as a part of their landscape decor. And people are loving string lights as never before.

And it thrills me to see them becoming so popular. As a child, I just never understood why we only used them on our camping trips. We had the small multi-colored Chinese lantern type and they made the prettiest glow on our faces as we sat beneath them telling ghost stories.

Motion-Activated Security Lighting Solar-powered floodlights come with motion sensors that automatically turn the light on as someone approaches. This capability can be used to improve security in dark areas around the complex, including entryways and walkways.

Landscape lights are usually installed along walkways, pathways, driveways, entrances, and steps. Lights can also be placed inside wells and ponds, and pointed up at trees, fences, and walls. The typical low voltage lighting system is comprised of primarily three parts: a transformer, a low voltage electrical cable, and lighting fixtures. Each transformer should be plugged into a GFCI-protected outdoor outlet with a “while-in-use” cover that closes over and around the power cord.

And in a special corner of my backyard, I have hung some very similar Chinese lanterns. And it’s the spot everyone’s congregates to, faces aglow, conversation lively… just fun all around!.
